RHYTHMIC VOCABULARY
GEO-DANCE:
- Focus on vertices and shapes:
- K through 1, 1-2 2-D & 3-D shapes, 2-3 3-D shapes and multiplication
- 4, 5, 6 Focus on Angles
- For 2nd and 3rd graders have the students hop and dance the tens column with the left foot and the ones column with the right foot. For the 100th column have them jump with both feet.
- Use manipulatives & Mneomic to show various shapes forms and then dance them.
- Use dances as assessments. Create a dance activity where the students write down an odd number or an even number as an assessment, then other students must hop or dance the amount of times that the number is represented in each Square.
